Dědečkové vs. babičky. Prarodičovství v kontextu aktivního stárnutí

Abstrakt
Článek se zabývá tématem dědečkovství ve srovnání s babičkovstvím. Dědečkům a jejich prožívání dědečkovské role byla v dosavadních výzkumech věnována jen velmi malá pozornost, v České republice obzvlášť. Dosud zde neexistuje konzistentní teoretický koncept prarodičovství, a proto se tento článek zaměřuje na odlišné kontexty prarodičovství, jako jsou genderové stereotypy, demografická a sociální změna nebo přetíženosti role stárnoucích jedinců. Všímá si také faktorů, které ovlivňují péči o děti ze strany dědečků. Analýza dat SHARE poté zkoumá vliv těchto faktorů na frekvenci péče poskytované vnoučatům jejich prarodiči, přičemž srovnává dědečky a babičky. Její výsledky potvrzují vliv rodinného stavu, věku, zdraví, ekonomické aktivity a počtu vnoučat. Článek, který je součástí širšího výzkumného projektu o dědečkovství, nabízí rovněž doporučení pro další výzkum dědečků a jejich role v rodině.
