The use of RFID in the arts and culture

Abstract
RFID is a technology that enables the unique identifi-cation at distance. This is the reason why RFID is used mostly in trade and logistics for recording information about a product and its movement from a producer to a consumer. Nevertheless, the products are not the only objects that are being tracked by the technology. Another field where RFID can make work more effective and the information  more  accurate  is  culture. This  paper  deals with  possibilities  that  RFID  offers  in  culture,  but  also with risks that the technology can cause.
