Free Licences and Collective Rights Management

Abstract
The paper aims at yet to be discussed topic of collective rights management organizations‘ (“CMO”) attitude towards public licenses. Basis of this topic is analysis of current copyright law including economical perspective. This is followed by description of the two main components of the relationship, it means of public licenses (Creative Commons licenses especially) and CMO functioning (compared to the situation in Germany). The result is synthesis of both parts, which is demonstrated by overview of possible legal relations between CMO and authors and the thesis ends with analysis of particular case which illustrates relationship between CMO and end users of the work licensed under public license.
