Long-term training in DVT: Dramatherapy training with Art Therapy overlap

Vol.10,No.3(2016)

Abstract

The basic definition of the article is to focus on the development and acquisition of competencies in the context of long-term Dramatherapy training with Art Therapy overlap, focusing on the method Developmental Transformations (DVT). The trainees acquire skills in group and individual approach. The method is based on embodiment, work in dramatic play, present moment, play space and encounter - in the sense of being in touch with yourself and others and transformations as the possibility of change. The concept is based on the claim that our expertise and experience are constantly new, nonrepeating, causing instability throughout Being. We are changing reality that we can accommodate for the facts and so do we creat additional concepts to escape the aforementioned instability. DVT aim is to strike a balance in an environment that is as inherently unstable, accept the risk and find insight and context of our being. By this definition the trainees are - in the framework of self-experience training - constantly confronted. The learning process is supported by the administration of feedback, anchoring theoretical and practical skills training. Finally, it is supported by supervision, methodological guidance and an individual self-experience-oriented on DvT method. These follow the training and are integral to its completion.
