How to educate integrative psychotherapists II: Chosen Models of trainings in international journals

Vol.5,No.2(2011)

Abstract

The paper compares several models of training in psychotherapy integration published in international journals and shows their basic agreement. Some topics are developed in more detail: the critical initial phase of training in relation to integrative perspective development, the question of identification with a single therapeutic orientation, the question of whether various therapeutic approaches should be taught simultaneously or sequentially, utilization of therapeutic manuals in integrative training, connecting training with research and evaluation and also the question of how the institutional context influences the approach to integrative training.
