Vol.19,No.3(2009)

Abstract
The aim of the paper is to inform about methods of predictive validity detection of admission to universities. Statistical methods are used for estimation the probability of success in graduation based on results of admission tests, high school grades and other facts. There are only a few papers concerned with evaluation of admission tests from this point of view in the Czech Republic. Conclusions of these papers are summarized here and compared with data analysis concerning students beginning their studies at Charles University in Prague, Faculty of Science in 2003 and 2004.
