German all-day school: A study on its implementation into educational practice

Abstract
The study presents a new topic in the Czech educational context – the German all-day school. The study defines the German all-day school and describes the philosophy of education in the German all-day school. It also provides a brief overview of the history of this educational institution. The aim of the empirical part of this study is to explore whether particular schools meet all the requirements for the philosophy of education in the German all-day school. The research used a qualitative research strategy, case study method, typological sample of nine schools from North Rhine-Westphalia. The results are interpreted and presented in the table. Findings of the evaluation are recommendatory.
