Online komunity v České republice: Analýza členů a jejich sociálního kontextu

Abstrakt
Článek se věnuje tématu online komunit v České republice. Naším cílem bylo zjistit, zda a jakým způsobem se členové online skupin ve vybraných charakteristikách liší od ostatních uživatelů internetu. V rámci výzkumu byl analyzován reprezentativní vzorek české populace, data využitá k analýze byla získána v rámci „Světového projektu o internetu: Česká republika 2007“, za pomoci osobních rozhovorů. Celý vzorek čítal 1 586 respondentů ve věku 12 let a více, z toho 256 respondentů, což představuje třetinu uživatelů internetu, uvedlo, že pravidelně navštěvuje nebo navštěvovalo nějakou online skupinu. V první části jsme zjišťovali vybrané socio-demografické charakteristiky uživatelů komunit, a to věk, rodinný stav a sociální status. Dále jsme se ptali, zda respondenti vnímají vliv členství v online skupině na míru jejich kontaktu s rodinou a přáteli. Rovněž jsme sledovali, zda mají účastníci online komunit bližší vztah ke svým online přátelům. Výsledky jsme srovnávali s výsledky „Světového projektu o internetu 2006“.
