Intuition: Theoretical framework and qualitative study of using intuition by gestalt therapists in their practice

Vol.8,No.1(2014)

Abstract

The present paper is focused on the use of intuition as a source of creative interventions in psychotherapy practice. The first part of the text provides space for theoretical thoughts about intuition in general and in the context of psychotherapy. In the second part of the text results of the qualitative research conducted with gestalt therapists are presented. The research focuses on the moments in which therapists rely more on their intuition rather than rational analysis.
