The contemporary status of psychotherapy in the world

Boundaries of psychotherapy (thematic issue)
Author of the paper illustrates political and professional endeavour connected to heading for psychotherapy as a profession in different parts of the world on the basis of constitution of psychotherapy as a profession – which can be seen in Canada during last years – and shortly also on the position of psychotherapy in Sweden. The paper connects in a factual summarizing way besides others to a chapter Psychotherapy in Europe, which was integrated into publication Contemporary Psychotherapy (2010). The paper also contains comparison with situation in the Czech Republic.
