Messianic Gene, instinctive source of altruism? (About relational systems in theory and practice of PBSP)

Vol.3,No.3-4(2009)

Abstract

The Messianic Gene"" is one key concept of PBSP. The instinct to complete unfinished shapes is a general attribute of perception. It is considered to be a platform for so-called ""justice making"". Therefore, Albert Pesso propagates the Freudian ""to work and to love"", and defines ""justice making"" as another basic intention of human beings. Every child ""makes justice"" when stepping automatically into missing roles in relationship systems. The excessive arousal of the ""Messianic Gene"", as a consequence of holes in a family system, is being found as a catalyst for various developmental disorders. The writer introduces the concept to the discussion with an essay using the Freudian structural model as his context. He adds a reflection on a connection between the ""Messianic Gene"" and altruism. He demonstrates relevant psychotherapeutic approaches on a fictive case and in this manner is presenting PBSP for the Czech professional public.
