Holding Therapy – A critical reflection

The presented work is based primarily on studies of Prekopová’s publication Pevné objetí: Cesta kvnitřní svobodě, which is recommended as an information source on several occasions by Dr. Prekopová and Doc. Šturma. The ideological nature of Prekopová’s approach, frequent contradictions and especially the absence of any significant differences between TPO and, in the U.S. condemned, attachment therapy"" is shown clearly. The conclusion is further supported by analysis of approaches, named as inspiration sources by Prekopová, and by showing clear parallels between TPO and ""attachment therapies"" in theory and practice.
