One of the goals of psychoanalytically and oriented psychotherapy of children and adolescents is changing their external reality through internal reality. The shift of internal working model may result in emotional development and growth. The place and the instrument of such change is the therapeutic relationships which is sometimes realised in different therapeutic settings. The authors are presenting three cases of therapeutic work with in a therapist – child, therapist – parent, therapist – child – institution settings. They are demonstrating the mechanisms of internal change through internal working models.
