„I learned to swim“ Strengthening trust in attachment, applying the Work at the Clay Field® method

Vol.13,No.2(2019)

Abstract

This clinical case study presents therapeutic process with a ten-year-old boy, who suffers from an ambivalent attachment. It is a follow up of the article Treating trauma through a sensorimotor approach: An introduction to the Work at the Clay Field® method (Víšková, 2017). The study shows the application of the sensorimotor experience in a therapeutic setting and how this psychophysiological process with the supporting presence of the therapist mirrors attachment behavior and builds up the trust to oneself and the world.
