PALEOKRASOVÉ VÝPLNĚ TYPU RUDICKÝCH VRSTEV NA ČEBÍNCE A NA KVĚTNICI

Coarse grained sands from the Králova Cave at Květnica hill and from karstified cavities at the top of the Čebínka hill were analysed. The assemblages of translucent heavy minerals were compared with those present at sands of the Rudice Member, of Lower Badenian sands at Tišnov area and with sandstones of Cenomanian. The comparison reflects identical composition of the observed sands with the sands of Cenomanian and of the Rudice member. The compositional similarity is undoubtledly a reflection of the same source and paleoclimatic conditions of origin. The differences from the Badenian sands are discussed.
The probability of Pre-Cenomanian karstification period, which left cavities now exposed at elevations between 400 and 450 m a.s.l. and filled with Cenomanian sediments, is discussed.Cenomanian; paleokarst; heavy minerals assemblages; sands
