Iron ores of the Lahn-Dill type were mined at several localities near Tvrdkov in the southern part of the Vrbno Group. In the dump material at the locality “Tvrdkovská leč“, the fragments of ores composed mainly of quartz, hematite and magnetite were found. Chlorite, calcite, dolomite-ankerite, muscovite and albite also occur in small quantities in the studied ores. A description of their features is given; EPMA data are tabelled.
