Low-grade iron ores were mined at several localities near Heřmanovice in the northern part of the Vrbno Group. At the locality „Mlýnský vrch“, the layer of calcite marble with thin magnetite bands occurs in an adit driven in rocks of an epizonally metamo rphosed volcano-sedimentary complex composed mainly of basic metatuffs (often calcareous) and phyllites.
