ŘÍČNÍ TERASY SVITAVY NA ZEMĚDĚLSKÉ ULICI V BRNĚ

Vol.10,(2003)

Abstract
River terraces were found in a building pit of a new part of the Mendel’s University near crossing the streets Zemědělská and Erbenova on the left site of the recent Ponávka-brook valley. Pebble composition corresponds to the composition of the Svitava River drainage area source rocks. Both terraces are deposited at altitude of around 235 m a. s. l. That is why relation with the Tuřany terrace morphostratigraphical level seems to be very probable.

Keywords:
Tuřany terrace; fluvial deposits; provenance of pebbles
