In the building material of „Obřany“ ruin (14th century) in the Hostýn Hills were found except predominating local sediments (sandstones, siltstones and conglomerates of the Rača Unit of the Magura Nappe) also overburnt stones. Provenance of all stones used as building material in the „Obřany“ ruin was studied by heavy mineral analysis method. The results indicate that local roks participated on a genesis of overburnt stones and that sandstones in the ruin stonework are of local provenance too.
