Abstract

XRD internal standard method was applied to quantitative phase analysis of olivine in rocks. The calibration mixtures with fluorite as internal standard combined with glass and corundum as diluents were used. The linear regression analysis were applied on seven verify mixtures. The absolute error of olivine determination varies from 1.1 % to 18.4 % (average 6.6 %, standard deviation 5.8 %). The presented method is applicable on the large sets of rock samples.
