Abstract
In the Jihlava area leucocratic muscovite, garnet- and tourmaline-bearing orthogneisses occur. These orthogneisses are part of the Varied group of the Moldanubian Zone. Examined orthogneisses have a peraluminous character and significant geochemical features. For orthogneisses from the Rančířov quarry is typical low content of Zr, Th and significantly low LREE/HREE ratio.
