The Hematite-magnetite mineralization in Polička Crystalline Complex

Vol.15,(2008)

Abstract
Small hematite-magnetite ore occurrences are situated in the northwest part of the Polička Crystalline Complex. The layers and lenses finely bedded quartz-magnetite-hematite (± Grt, Ep, Amp) mineralization, up to several meters thick are spatially and genetically bounded to the amphibolites with MORB geochemical signatures. Studied deposits precipitate from submarine exhalations are metamorphosed in amphibolite facie under T 566-619 °C and P 5-6 kbar. During a second metamorphic event under greenschist facie were magnetite partially replaced by hematite (martitized).
