Quantitative determination of the calcareous sulfates in the natural and industrial materials

Vol.18,No.2(2011)

Abstract
The XRD internal standard method and the RIR method were applied on quantitative phase analysis of anhydrite, bassanite and gypsum. Various test mixtures were analyzed and statistically significant results were obtained. The accuracy of both methods was checked by analysis of three artificial control mixtures. The average absolute error was less than 8 wt. % in all cases.
