Chemical composition of biotite from the Třebíč pluton

Abstract
The Třebíč pluton is the largest body of highly potassic to ultrapotassic plutonic rocks of the durbachite suite in the Bohemian Massif. The investigated durbachites from the Královec Quarry and Třebíč town areas are melagranites. These melagranites contain some mafic enclaves of magmatic origin (granodiorite to tonalite). Biotites from melagranites are represented according to the IMA classification by ferroan-phlogopite with Fe/(Fe + Mg) = 0.33–0.44 and IVAl = 1.11–1.24 apfu. The Fe/(Fe + Mg) ratio for biotites from mafic enclaves is similar (0.31–0.40). Both biotites have partly high Ti content (0.08–0.25 and 0.15–0.25 apfu, respectively).
