IZOTOPOVĚ ANOMÁLNÍ SEDIMENTÁRNÍ KARBONÁTOVÁ HORNINA Z DOMAŠOVA N. BYSTŘICÍ (KULM NÍZKÉHO JESENÍKU)

A carbonate rock was found within fissures of polyphase hydrothermal veins hosted by Lower Carboniferous greywackes at Domaov n. Bystřicí. The rock is formed mainly by neomorphic sparitic calcite containing small admixture of clay. Carbonate mass occasionally encloses fragments of older hydrothermal minerals and host greywacke. Fossils were not observed. Whole rock d 13C and d18O values are -10.8 to -12.3 PDB and -7.0 to -6.8 PDB, respectively. Stable isotope data are similar to those of Tertiary calcite postdating the carbonate rock. It can be concluded that the studied rock is sedimentary in origin, and its microstructures and stable isotope characteristics have been strongly modified during intense interaction with hydrothermal fluids.
