German Elections in September 2002 have not changed the composition of the government coalition (Social Democrats and Greens), but has influenced the situation in Bundestag. Christian Democrats are stronger than before. The process of deconcentration of the traditional German party system („two and half party“), which began in 1983, ended. It is likely that in the future governments composed of Social Democrats (SPD) with Greens (maybe with the Party of Democratic Socialism) on the one hand will alternate with Christian Democrats (CDU/CSU) with Free Democrats (FDP) on the other hand.
