Introduction to the ethnonursing research

Vol.9,No.2(2018)

Abstract
The topic of this paper is the field of ethnonursing research, as a process for mapping cultural phenomenna and factors influencing the perception of health. In transcultural nursing, the care procedures are based on scientific evidence, gathered by the researchers through the application of the ethnonursing research process. The origin and application of the aforementioned research process is related to nursing and cultural anthropology professor Madeleine Leininger. The results of her research and theoretical views should be applied by the nursing staff that provide care in a multicultural environment, as well as by those, who have the practical application of humanist principles as their goal.
