Centers and Peripheries in Europe – Stein Rokkan’s Approach

Abstract
Article tries to cope with conceptual approaches invented by Norwegian political scientist Stein Rokkan. Author tries to describe basic logic of main Rokkan concepts concerning development of European mass politics, building of European nations and states. Some basic models (above all famous conceptual map of Europe) are discussed. Author tries to point out possibilities, which are given by Rokkan’s concepts for research in the field of building of mass politics in Central and Eastern Europe.
