Achillodynia In Recreational Runners

Vol.12,No.2(2018)

Abstract

Running has become a modern trend and one of the most popular leisure activities. The popularity of running however results in an increased occurrence of cases of acute or chronic pain of the Achilles tendon which can be seen in reported cases to doctors and physiotherapists. The cause of achillodynia in runners has not been conclusively established, hence it is important to warn about the risk factors and promote the importance of prevention.
