Monitoring of Anthropometric Characteristics of Swimmers

The aim of this research was to monitor the development of anthropometric characteristics in male junior swimmers of SUT Trnava swimming team. Since 2006 and with the cooperation of SUT Trnava swimming team; observations of anthropometric characteristic measurements of selected male junior swimmers were undertaken. It was established that during the last four training cycles, the same somatic preconditions exist in the subjects. It is clear that the benefit of this research is longitudinal monitoring and evaluation of anthropometric characteristics of the swimmers allows the exact and numerical evaluation of the dynamics of somatic assumptions of the monitored swimmers with a perspective on the quality of swimming performance.
