1 "QUOTING" AND PARAPHRASING
Direct quoting
- According to Morrow (2013), “Research was deemed inconclusive” (p.121).
- Morrow (2013) stated, “research was deemed inconclusive” (p.121); which can lead to three explanations.
- He stated, “Research was deemed inconclusive” (Morrow, 2013, p.121), with three possible explanations.
For the quotations longer than 40 words, write in a block, (example below).
Paraphrasing
- According to Morrow (2013), the research was inconclusive because of possible mistakes within the design of the research project (Morrow, 2013, p.121). * (page number is not required).
Naming more authors
Two authors
- Research by Kozume and Hinata (2012) suggests-
or
- Researchers suggested bigger size sample (Kozume & Hinata, 2012)
Three to five authors
