The article includes a list of legal means of enforcing demands of the society as well as individuals concerning a favourable state of our environment. Understably enough, the list is far from being complete. The purpose of this article was to draw attention to the need of being aware of such means. The means, in the hands of an accomplished law-giver with a good will, may serve our environment as well as life on our planet and challenge legal theory to devote a proper attention to them than ever before.
