Franchise agreement v. EC rules on competition

Vol.4,No.1(1996)

Abstract
Franchising is a relatively new distribution method and one which has increased dramatically in popularity in the last few years. It essentially allows a manufacturer or supplier to combine the characteristics of a network of legally and financially independent distributors with an outward apperance of uniformity through that network. Competition law has had to adapt to this relatively new business method.
