Abstract
The article deals with the question of the further development of juvenile justice system in the Czech Republic. The author describes the history and the present of criminal law for juvenile from the view of the age limit.

She makes mention of the two suggestions of the reducting age limit for criminal responsibility from 15 to 14 years and the she discuses about 14 years the lower age limit for criminal responsibility.

The author analyses in detail the above mentioned alternatives and she argues about the reduction of age limit in generally.

The last the author gives examples from the penal requlations concerning juvenile (Austria, Germany). She suggests to reserve the present to lower age limit (15 years) and she recommends to start work on the new conception of criminal-legal regulation concerning juvenile offenders in the Czech Republic.
