Some legal issues of Česká tisková kancelář (Czech Press Agency)

Česká tisková kancelář (Czech News Agency) has been established by the Czech Act on Česká tis­ková kancelář (1992) as a sui generis legal person of the Czech public law ad interim. This person is a pu­blic institute which is a non-governmental body of the Czech public administration of information and which has its own non-governmental public proper­ty. This body exercises the public interest defined by the law using the economic form of public enterpri­se. Česká tisková kancelář exercises both concept of the public use of information, which is free of charge, and concept of injormation business.
The Council of Česká tisková kancelář is an au­thority of the Czech public administrative supervisi­on on Česká tisková kancelář and on its exercising of public interest. The Council of Česká tisková kan­celář itself is supervised by the Chamber of Deputies of the Czech Parliament.
