The article concentrates on the issues of legal status of churches and religious organizationes in the currently valid law and compares it with the new prepared legal regulation. The subjects are viewed as specific corporations of private-law character which are primarly founded for the purposes of fulfilling the right to express one's religion or faith either individually or in connection with others as it is determined in the Constitution. Article pays attention also to the changes that were discussed in Parliament of the Czech Republic.
