Politics: Will to Power or Will to Common Good?

Abstract
This text presents politics as a striving for power and striving for common good, both with implications for law-making, for personal nominations into public offices and for evaluation of legal and political opinions declared in public domain. Author investigates whether the latter of the aforementioned conceptions of politics is just a relic of the classical political thinking which is of no use today not just because of practical complications associated with searching for and enforcement of the common good, but also because of social structures in which politics takes place and which incite political actors to prefer their own power interests at last.
