Its purpose was to give a chance to women, whose fiancés died on the battlefields, and to fulfill the goals of Nazi population policies. In this respect, the author of this article also explains the connotation of “distance marriage contracts”. This concept is related to the abovementioned questions and is very unusual from today’s point of view too.
