There is an important jubilee of this year - centenary birth anniversary of Vladimír Kubeš, outstanding Czech legal philosopher, jurist and educationist. He belonged to the most significant representatives of the second generation of Brno normative legal school. Despite of his impossibility follow his scientific work professionally after the year 1948 he contributed to Czech jurisprudence in several fields: civil law, theory of law, philosophy of law, sociology of law and evolution of legal thinking. He came to be well-known also abroad, mainly in Austria. Kubeš´s work exceeded framework of legal normativism towards onthological, noetic and axiological issues of law.
