Incompatibility of Offices

Abstract
The paper acquaints with an incompatibility of public offices of a member of the government, a member of the Parliament, public prosecutor and judge. The article reacts to the situation during an appointment of a government in the spring of 2009, when the chairman of the Statistical Office and the chairman of the Office for the Protection of Competition has become members of the government. The article deals with incompatibility of an office of minister and a member of region council. There are specific examples of problematic combination of offices of a judge and deputy ministers. The article arrives at the conclusion that incompatibility is given by the nature of possible different interests. Holders of public offices should not cumulate those, thereby, they avoid potential legal dispute.
