Life imprisonment constitutes, amongst other penalties and measures, longer period of time the most intense intervention in human rights and freedoms in the laws of Slovak and Czech Republic. Opinions on its admissibility and constitutionality are not at present uniform, as well as in the question of conditional release from life imprisonment. The article analysis the legislative text of conditional release of life imprisonment in Germany, which shows some differences compared with the legislation of the Slovak and Czech Republic. In the end are these differences briefly summarized.
