The article focuses on the amendment bill regarding Crime Victims, which is currently in the legislative process. The goal of the amendment is to fully finish implementing the regulations of the European Parliament and the European Council 2012/29/EU and to react to certain findings and deficits that were detected in the current application. Some of the new additions should be a new definition of an especially vulnerable victim, a change to the legislation regarding informing the victim, or the proceedings about providing financial aid. The article will also deal with some of the shortcomings of the current legislation, which are not being resolved. After the analysis and brief presentation of the key problems of the current legislation follows the recommendations for the lawmakers, respectively the proposals de lege ferenda.
