The contribution is devoted to the Amendment to the Act No. 424/1991 Coll., on associating in political parties and political movements, which was passed on April 29, 1994. The authors highlight the most significant changes, as which they regard particularly the establishment of sole membership just in one political party or movement, the possibility of a member of the party to appeal to the court in case of controversies with party organs. The main attention is paid to the new regulation of financing of political parties, where the principle burden is taken over by state in form of contributions to activities of political parties based on the number of obtained votes and mandates in the last election. The authors analyze particular questions of this financing and highlight contentious points. Furthermore they express themselves on the fact, that the amendment almost totally excluded enterprise of political Parties - no matter if independent or within the framework of different juristic person.
