The article deals with some questionable issues concerning the right of compensatory use of lands. The articlees refers to the sources of legal regulations which have brought the institut of compensatory use into the Czech legal system and tries to answer questions dealing with the expire of the right of compensatory use according to § 22 par.2 of tbe Act No.229/1991 on regulations of ownership relations to to lands and other agricultural property. This Act has been later amended by the Act No.195/1993. It also refers to the appurtenant provisions of the Act of ČNR No.284/1991 on land regulations and land registers. The Act No.284/1991 was amended by the Act of ČNR No.38/1993 (the complete version - the Act No.221/1993).
