Articles
Peer-reviewed
Recommended length is from 25 to 60 pages.
Any article submitted to this section must be an original work, not yet published academic text in the field of law and legal practice. Legal texts – articles, are primarily addressed to the scientific and academic community. Articles must grasp the researched topic completely. We do not recommend article with titles such as „selected issues…“ or „a few remarks about…“; except in cases where the topic relates to an entirely new and not yet published legal area; therefore, a comprehensive approach at such an early stage is not possible. Thus, it is preferable to choose a narrower topic and research it comprehensively. All texts must reflect ongoing discussion on the topic and relevant case law. If it is possible with regards to the content of the article, the topic must be compared with at least some selected EU Member States. The article must contain new ideas, which can be further followed and further developed by other authors. It is advisable to consult in advance the topic and methods of the article with the editor; whether it is a suitable topic with regards to the focus of the journal.
Previous publication in the Working papers series is not a problem. For more information on the Working papers series, see http://workingpapers.law.muni.cz/content/cs/
Reviews and Annotations
Not reviewed
Recommended length is from 3 to 5 pages.
Each review shall contain full biographic citation of the reviewed publication, reviewer’s name and his/her affiliation (profession, contact e-mail). The purpose of the reviews and annotations is to inform readers of the journal about recently published books in the field of law and to evaluate and sum up their content. Reviewed books must not be older than three years (the relevant date is the publication date). Reviews of textbooks, manuals, conference proceedings or manuals for legal practice will not be published.
It is advisable to consult in the advance with the editor the publication you intend to review.
