Tradice sémiotických kulatých stolů a otázka exemplarity

Tradice pořádání kulatých stolů o sémiotice práva má své kořeny u Roberty Kevelson (1931–1998), americké sémiotičky, která navázala na teorii znaků Charlese Sanderse Peirce a vtáhla sémiotické uvažování do práva a právní teorie. Toto její snažení a četné publikace analyzující nejrůznější aspekty role a významu znaků v právu však až prakticky do její smrti zůstaly téměř bez povšimnutí. Rok po její smrti však v této oblasti hlavní publikační médium – International Journal for the Semiotics of Law – Revue internationale de Sémiotique juridique – její práci a jejímu odkazu věnoval celé tematické číslo.
