Regulation of Working Conditions of Person with Disabilities in International Documents

Vol.16,No.1(2008)

Abstract
The article deals with the international framework of the protection of persons with disabilities when performing their work. This group of people creates the world’s largest and most disadvantaged minority, especially in the labour market. The most important documents of the United Nations, International Labour Organisation and Council of Europe are analysed in more detail. Generally, they provide for the right to work, the right to safe working conditions, the right to vocational rehabilitation and vocational training. Some of them lay down the prohibition of discrimination based on disability.
