Mária Šikolová

Mária Šikolová graduated from the Faculty of Arts of Komensky University in Bratislava, Slovakia, with a focus on translating and interpreting in English and Arabic. After graduating, she started working at the University of Defence, and throughout her career, she has served in various positions, beginning as a lecturer of Arabic and English. Subsequently, Dr. Šikolová held various administrative positions (Deputy Director, Head of the English Department, Director of Studies, and Head of the Testing Department). She currently works as the Chief Methodologist at the same institution. Apart from attending numerous workshops and seminars, she defended her Ph.D. thesis at Pedagogical Faculty of Charles University in 2007. Dr. Šikolová’s primary areas of interest and publication are teaching and testing methodologies, teacher training, and quality assurance.
