Abstract
The article focuses on the development of writing skills in Czech as a foreign language. It aims to outline the possibilities of writing in the sense of developing not only written production with its specifics, but also other competence skills.The paper provides an example of the realization of a written assignment in the teaching of academic Czech for foreigners.
