Innovation of German Language Courses in Study Programmes of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of The University of West Bohemia in Pilsen

Students of Bachelor, Master and combined/distance study programmes at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of the University of West Bohemia in Pilsen have the opportunity to deepen their language skills through specialized courses taught in German. New contents of the courses help students work in a German-speaking technical environment without problems. The aim of the specialized language courses is to prepare students adequately for their professional lives and to teach them how to deal with common practical situations. After completing these courses focusing on mechanical engineering topics, students have very good language skills and also very good expert knowledge in their fields of study. This article is concerned not only with the contents of the upgraded courses, but also with the supplementary materials that have been created as part of the course innovation.
